The Application Design and Development Director manages multiple development teams supporting different products or lines of businesses. Plans, coordinates, supervises all activities related to the design, development, implementation of the organization's applications development and analysis function. Being an Application Design and Development Director develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the organization. Directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, timeline and cost. In addition, Application Design and Development Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Application Design and Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets, policies, procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
