Job Description

The Aviation Operations Supervisor coordinates plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Manages day-to-day aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Being an Aviation Operations Supervisor supervises flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. In addition, Aviation Operations Supervisor applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Aviation Operations Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as an Aviation Operations Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
