Job Description

The Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering Senior Manager maintains overall schedules and ensures work is completed on time. Oversees a department of civil engineers and their projects. Being a Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering Senior Manager maintains relationships with managers, team members, clients, and subcontractors. Helps establish quality control and safety policies, and ensures adoption. In addition, Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering Senior Manager coordinates new potential project partners and helps foster relationships between managers and new business prospects. Has deep and broad engineering knowledge and experience. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a director. The Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as a Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
