The College/University Student Union Manager is responsible for managing all functions including coordinating facility use, administering student services and activities, and ensuring proper safety and security measures. Manages the operations of the Student Union in accordance with the university or college's policies and procedures. Being a College/University Student Union Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates professional and student staff. In addition, College/University Student Union Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The College/University Student Union Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a College/University Student Union Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
