The Data Infrastructure Maintenance Technician I follows established procedures to troubleshoot, repair, or upgrade servers, storage systems, and other data center equipment. Installs, maintains, and repairs the hardware and physical infrastructure of a data center facility to ensure the performance, availability, and security of data. Being a Data Infrastructure Maintenance Technician I may require a bachelor's degree. Documents and maintains comprehensive records of environmental conditions to track and ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. In addition, Data Infrastructure Maintenance Technician I typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Data Infrastructure Maintenance Technician I works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
