The Design Engineer - Project Lead may evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensure project completion. Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. Being a Design Engineer - Project Lead works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. May oversee the work of other design engineers. In addition, Design Engineer - Project Lead requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working as a Design Engineer - Project Lead typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent.
