Job Description

The Director of Media Placement develops the strategy, plans, and tactics required to create advertising campaigns that deliver results and meet the client's objectives. Directs and oversees the team responsible for maximizing the impact of the client's advertising campaigns. Being a Director of Media Placement oversees campaign tactics and execution to monitor spending, manage budgets, and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for all types of media campaigns. Implements short- and long-term strategies for building client relationships and increasing retention. In addition, Director of Media Placement guides negotiations for media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Leads interactions with the most strategic accounts. Develops and maintains relationships with media partners. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to senior management. The Director of Media Placement manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Director of Media Placement typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
