The Director Women and Infants coordinates activities related to labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and the baby nursery. Responsible for the maternity unit and all sub-unit operations and staffing. Manages the departments operating budget and measures performance using standards established by the hospital. In addition, Director Women and Infants requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires registered nurse (RN). Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
