Job Description

The Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technician attaches electrodes to the patient. Performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Being an Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technician provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. In addition, Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to Manager or head of Unit/Department. Being an Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as an Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
