The Financial Statements and Reporting Supervisor ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Supervises employees responsible for the preparation and distribution of annual and/or quarterly financial statements for external use. Being a Financial Statements and Reporting Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. May serve as a liaison with external auditors. In addition, Financial Statements and Reporting Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Financial Statements and Reporting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.
