Job Description

The Grant Funding Manager monitors grantee management and disbursement of grant funds for grants that are being awarded. Manages the administration and financial control of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for grants either awarded or received to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, and reporting requirements. Being a Grant Funding Manager for grants received, oversees all financial reporting and accounting related to the grant funding. Reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants and verifies that the funds are being allocated appropriately. In addition, Grant Funding Manager tracks expenses and performs reconciliations related to grant accounts. Compiles and submits any data or documentation required by the grant funder. Ensures that the organization follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Grant Funding Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Grant Funding Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
