The Healthcare Quality and Compliance Manager oversees quality assurance and compliance functions. Manages and implements the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility. Being a Healthcare Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes. Ensures programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. In addition, Healthcare Quality and Compliance Manager requires a bachelor's degree, and is certified as a registered nurse. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Healthcare Quality and Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
