The Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor leads service technicians in removing, disassembling, replacing, cleaning, and/or reassembling components. Oversees the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Being a Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor maintains inventory of replacement parts, tools, and equipment required for operations. Helps service technicians diagnose issues and select the proper tools and protocols for assignments. In addition, Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Heavy Equipment Service Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
