The Hydrogeologist collects samples and conducts measurements on water, including ponds, lakes, rivers, and groundwater. Responsible for monitoring the movement, characteristics, and quality of water in a given region. Being a Hydrogeologist uses a broad collection of data and an understanding of the region's water to provide guidance to new initiatives, projects, or regulations that could make a significant impact. Analyzes collected data including water composition, pollution, erosion, volume, and stream and groundwater flow to create accurate models, predict trends, and help develop solutions to problems. In addition, Hydrogeologist this could include projects or regulations involving irrigation, waste water, industrial waste, or power plants.
