The Intermediate Nuclear Engineer conducts research into problems of nuclear energy systems. Designs and initiates processes to gain benefit from nuclear energy and radiation. Being an Intermediate Nuclear Engineer monitors testing, operation, and maintenance of nuclear reactors. Designs and develops nuclear equipment. In addition, Intermediate Nuclear Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Working as an Intermediate Nuclear Engineer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
