The Intermediate Telecommunications Engineering Technician creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Assists telecommunication engineers in the design and analysis of telecommunication networks. Being an Intermediate Telecommunications Engineering Technician may evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Ensures network connectivity for end-users. In addition, Intermediate Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Working as an Intermediate Telecommunications Engineering Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill.
