The Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager designs, develops, and implements quality control procedures for the laboratory. Manages quality assurance analysis to ensure consistent and reliable operation in a laboratory setting. Being a Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager researches recommendations and new technologies or equipment to improve quality standards. Oversees the routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results. In addition, Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
