The Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor implements quality control procedures for the laboratory. Supervises quality assurance analysis to ensure consistent and reliable operation in a laboratory setting. Being a Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor reviews and interprets test results to ensure accuracy, precision, and repeatability. Performs routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results and provides recommendations to improve quality standards. In addition, Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor performs calculations and determinations to validate results or specifications. Validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Working as a Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.
