The Lean/Six Sigma Process Director develops master plans, timelines, and budget allocation for implementation. Deploys total quality operational excellence policies and programs within an organization. Being a Lean/Six Sigma Process Director ensures programs educate and motivate employees to achieve a culture of continuous improvement. Forms and guides cross functional teams. In addition, Lean/Six Sigma Process Director utilizes Six Sigma/Lean methodologies and typically is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or similar area. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Typically reports to senior management. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Lean/Six Sigma Process Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
