The Legal Conflicts Research Manager ensures team is conducting research in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Manages a team responsible for identifying and researching potential conflicts of interest and reviewing new client/matter information. Being a Legal Conflicts Research Manager works with attorneys to document conflict clearances on new business submissions. Assists with investigation of potential conflicts through daily searches and preliminary checks on work intake and lateral hires. In addition, Legal Conflicts Research Manager prepares clear and concise reports documenting the results of specific conflict searches and highlights the areas of potential conflict. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Legal Conflicts Research Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as a Legal Conflicts Research Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
