The Line Repairman I performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Being a Line Repairman I follows all safety regulations and procedures. Installs wire and cable. In addition, Line Repairman I work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Apprentice is generally part of a formal or informal on-the-job training program.
