Job Description

The Mammography Technologist - Certified develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Operates specialized X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures including screenings and diagnostic studies. Being a Mammography Technologist - Certified cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. In addition, Mammography Technologist - Certified requires an associate's degree of completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Diagnostic Mammography. Mammography Technologist - Certified's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
