The Divisional VP of Manufacturing develops and implements policies and programs to ensure products are manufactured within schedule and according to established quality and cost standards. Has overall responsibility for the manufacturing strategy and operations of a division. Being a Divisional VP of Manufacturing prepares forecasts regarding future facility, equipment, and workforce needs, and ensures manufacturing capacity is sufficient to meet business requirements. Ensures that plant design, workflow and assembly methods maximize operational efficiency. In addition, Divisional VP of Manufacturing requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Divisional VP of Manufacturing manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.
