Job Description

The Media Buying/Scheduling Director develops the strategy, plans, and tactics required to create advertising campaigns that deliver results and meet the client's objectives. Directs and oversees the team responsible for maximizing the impact of the client's advertising campaigns. Being a Media Buying/Scheduling Director oversees campaign tactics and execution to monitor spending, manage budgets, and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for all types of media campaigns. Implements short- and long-term strategies for building client relationships and increasing retention. In addition, Media Buying/Scheduling Director guides negotiations for media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Leads interactions with the most strategic accounts. Develops and maintains relationships with media partners. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to senior management. The Media Buying/Scheduling Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Media Buying/Scheduling Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
