The Modeling & Simulation Engineer IV uses machine learning, computational methods, and data analysis to identify, implement, and test relevant and viable algorithms for modeling a system or problem. Designs, develops, and evaluates the effectiveness of algorithms and frameworks to simulate and model complex systems such as behavior, threat detection, or real-world systems or vision. Being a Modeling & Simulation Engineer IV develops visualizations to review and communicate results. Creates scalable frameworks to run simulations repeatedly and quickly or model operational environments and processes. In addition, Modeling & Simulation Engineer IV writes and reviews code in relevant languages, packages, and libraries. Typically requires a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being a Modeling & Simulation Engineer IV work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.
