The Nursing Education Program Director develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Being a Nursing Education Program Director provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. In addition, Nursing Education Program Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Nursing Education Program Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Nursing Education Program Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
