Being a Patient Access Director establishes policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. Analyzes operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems. In addition, Patient Access Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Patient Access Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
