The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Being a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) no experience necessary. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. In addition, Patient Care Assistant (PCA) has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
