Job Description

The Physician/Doctor, Sports Medicine prescribes and administers patient medications. Examines and treats sport or athletic related injuries. Being a Physician/Doctor, Sports Medicine consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Monitors patient during sport events or physical activity and performs tests and prescribes medication and treatment, as necessary. In addition, Physician/Doctor, Sports Medicine requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician/Doctor, Sports Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
