The Print Production Specialist prepares estimates and cost analysis reports for internal budget approval. Initiates requests for competitive bids and negotiates with vendors and suppliers to perform print jobs for direct mail, seasonal promotions, sales collateral, and other printed media. Being a Print Production Specialist reviews all artwork and copy prior to delivery to printers for accuracy and formats. Coordinates and prioritizes print production schedules and print specifications. In addition, Print Production Specialist reviews and approves mock-ups and proofs, performs final quality assurance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Print Production Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
