The Retail Loss Control Director develops and implements theft prevention strategies to reduce exposure. Directs a team of loss prevention staff that is responsible for safeguarding the company assets from losses due to theft or fraud. Being a Retail Loss Control Director may require a bachelor's degree. Creates and implements effective internal and external loss prevention programs to reduce risk and losses. In addition, Retail Loss Control Director typically reports to senior management. The Retail Loss Control Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Retail Loss Control Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
