Job Description

The Securities and Equity Research Director develops policies and procedures to guide the analysis and evaluation of investment products and ensure investment activities comply with regulatory standards. Directs the research and analysis of financial markets, securities, and investment products to assess risks, evaluate potential returns, and make informed investment decisions for an organization. Being a Securities and Equity Research Director oversees and evaluates an organization's investment portfolio to ensure optimal performance and alignment with investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels. Monitors and tracks financial markets, investment trends, and regulatory developments to develop and implement successful investment strategies for an organization. In addition, Securities and Equity Research Director utilizes mathematical formulas, financial metrics, and economic data to develop analytical tools, frameworks, and models to inform and support decision-making. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Securities and Equity Research Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Securities and Equity Research Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
