The Senior Equipment Operator-Crane performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment and may perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating or checking fluid levels. Operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Being a Senior Equipment Operator-Crane identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. In addition, Senior Equipment Operator-Crane maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require NCCCO Certification. May Require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Senior Equipment Operator-Crane works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working as a Senior Equipment Operator-Crane typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
