Job Description

The Senior Manager of Product Development incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Being a Senior Manager of Product Development develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. In addition, Senior Manager of Product Development typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Senior Manager of Product Development typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as a Senior Manager of Product Development typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
