The Senior Patient/Health Educator conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Being a Senior Patient/Health Educator may provide health education outreach and consultation. Develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. In addition, Senior Patient/Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being a Senior Patient/Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
