The Systems and Applications Architecture Senior Director leads the strategy, management, and implementation of the systems architecture function. Directs the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Being a Systems and Applications Architecture Senior Director evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. In addition, Systems and Applications Architecture Senior Director identifies and researches potential technology products to enhance solution delivery. Participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top management. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems and Applications Architecture Senior Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Working as a Systems and Applications Architecture Senior Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
