The Vice President of Community Health Advocacy and Programs is responsible for overseeing community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Focuses on advancing local, state and national health advocacy efforts. Being a Vice President of Community Health Advocacy and Programs participates in and approves grant proposals and monitors overall use of grant funds. Determines community health initiatives to pursue and directs best practices implementation. In addition, Vice President of Community Health Advocacy and Programs oversees all community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Typically requires an advanced degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Community Health Advocacy and Programs manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
