The Water/Wastewater Processing Plant Manager establishes sampling and testing systems, and ensures proper testing of functionality of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Manages the operations of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Being a Water/Wastewater Processing Plant Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Monitors federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines and creates and updates wastewater treatment procedures to adhere to those regulations. In addition, Water/Wastewater Processing Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Water/Wastewater Processing Plant Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Water/Wastewater Processing Plant Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
