Being a Boilermaker I reads and uses blueprints to determine locations, positions, or dimensions of parts. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Boilermaker I typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires completion or enrollment in apprenticeship program. The Boilermaker I gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Boilermaker I typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
