Job Description for Commercial Tire Technician I

Commercial Tire Technician I performs tire and tire related services at commercial service centers according to company requirements. Mounts, demounts and balances commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by a service manager or a more senior technician. Being a Commercial Tire Technician I follows established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service, noting additional needs and notifying the service manager or supervising technician. May be responsible for replenishing inventory and maintaining shop supply levels. Additionally, Commercial Tire Technician I may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Tire Technician I possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
