Job Description:


  • Minimum eight years related work experience.


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience.

  • Local and overnight travel by ground and/or air
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties


  • Under the direction of the Regional General Manager, oversees the operation of a given number of up to seven stores within a specified area.
  • Mentors and manages Store Directors and supporting management team.
  • Visits assigned stores on a regular basis.
  • Ensures short-term and long-term succession planning is in place and executed through leadership and management development to establish appropriate “bench strength” within the District.
  • Oversees marketing direction for the District.
  • Responsible for getting into new markets nine months out and determining market needs for the District’s future location from advertising/marketing to product assortment and niche categories.
  • Prepares and justifies budgets that forecast capital, overhead, and expenses for the District and is responsible for the execution of the plan through P&L analysis while meeting District and Company goals.
  • Monitors cash flow, inventory controls, and overall profitability of assigned stores.
  • Reviews operational records and reports prepared by Store Directors to project sales and to determine store profitability.
  • Compares prices, packaging, physical characteristics, styles of merchandise, and store operations of competitors on a regular basis.
  • Ensures assigned District complies with all governmental rules/regulations and established company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as maintaining consistent application of all people development and people management practices.
  • Inspects premises of assigned stores to ensure that adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with safety and environmental codes and ordinances.
  • Provides guidance regarding special circumstances, including inclement weather and security threats.
  • Maintains a safe, productive environment for associates and customers.
  • Required to learn company policies and procedures.
  • Required to learn company safety rules.
