Job Description:

Education:

• Associate’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

• 2+ years of related work experience required

Skills:

• Working knowledge of the JDA Category Management Suite
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel
• Ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of work across multiple projects in a fast paced frequently changing environment
• Ability to produce high quality work that is very detailed, accurate and completed on schedule
• Sound listening and analytical skills, likes problem solving and offering creative ideas/resolution to challenges
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization
• Responds positively to change, by embracing and adopting new direction and process changes required to accomplish goals and solve problems

Responsibilities:

• Direct all aspects of visual merchandising, including planogram creation, fixture-graphic fulfillment, and reset coordination.  Receive product assortment from the merchant teams, manage strategy and build planograms, present to merchants for validation, create plans for visual marketing, work with store operations to communicate details to stores and work with replenishment to provide the capacity report so replenishment can order product for the stores.
• Partner with the Merchants to create customer centric planograms utilizing the JDA Category Management Suite to drive sales and profitability.  Responsible to have product accurate in store for the customers.
• Assign and merchandise planograms that align with the macro and micro space plan in existing stores and in support of special projects using JDA Floor Planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchants, marketing, store operations, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery
• Lead analytics and assortment optimization to increase retailer category sales and perform strategic category analysis and insights discovery
• Work directly with stores and address store level challenges and establish strong relationships with key customer within their store operations and planogram groups
• Take ownership of special projects and initiatives for assigned brand and report back to team on new developments, strategies, and/ or roll-out plans.
• Lead the development and implementation of new innovative fixture initiatives and serve as the wall strategy expert
• Apply data points to reconcile assortment to space variations across clustered volume grades and provide post-mortem analysis to cross functional teams
• Establish partnerships with different levels of the organizations to effectively communicate visual and fixture needs, inventory requirements, and the overall merchandise strategy to ensure an efficient in-store implementation of each planogram release
• Generate planograms for new and update store projects and maintain due dates outlined on the Expesite calendar
• Support cross functional teams to ensure merchandise standards and space plans are complete and accurate for new stores, remodels, and special projects
• Responsible for setting planograms in a live store or model store to review the accuracy of the planogram and to identify areas of opportunity before the live date
• Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
