Job Description:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations

Work Experiences:

• 3+ years of related work experience in related field or role such as PR agency, corporate communications, media relations; journalism

Skills:

• Effective writing, editing, listening and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional team members
• Creative and innovative communications thinker
• Detail oriented, proven organizational and time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated, works well independently and on team projects
• Ability to prioritize, solve problems independently and work effectively under pressure when necessary
• Flexible, change embracing in rapidly evolving work environment
• Skilled in MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes or similar e-mail system

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all earned media and manages localized social media efforts for assigned markets
• Tracks and analyzes public relations efforts, media coverage and lists, social media, communication and community-focused activities and events to
• Reviews and responds to all media requests for assigned markets
• Writes, edits and publishes press releases, media alerts, social media and other content
• Partners with Communications and Regional Marketing teams to ensure programs and initiatives obtain maximum exposure via media and social media where necessary
• Assist with execution of strategic communications plans for seasonal campaigns, media relations, community relations programs and special events
• Builds relationships with key media members in assigned markets along with internal departments and PR agency partners
• Promotes a positive company image
• Successfully serves as onsite media spokesperson in multiple forms of media (i.e. TV, radio, print, etc.) as needed
• Leads media training initiatives for authorized spokespeople
• Supports crisis communications on an ad hoc/as needed basis
• Required to learn company policies, procedures
• Duties may change and team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
• Regular attendance required
• Up to 15% travel with possible overnight stay
