Job Description:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management or relevant field of study preferred

Work Experiences:

  • 3+ years of retail operations or merchandising experience required
  • Additional experience in journalism, media relations or corporate communications preferred

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and editing communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong writing skills to simplify complex messages
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in leveraging both digital and transitional internal channels to create impactful communications that drive execution, awareness and engagement
  • Experience supporting and developing creative design content for presentations
  • Detail oriented, proven organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work with cross-functional team members
  • Creative and innovative communications thinker
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible, change embracing in a rapidly evolving work environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop outgoing tasks and communications between corporate and stores, ensuring that all messages are consistent with the corporate strategy, tone of voice and brand, leading to maximizing store productivity, driving sales, and enhancing customer experience
  • Actively be available to communicate business needs to the field that will drive sales and improve customer experience
  • Drive the planning process of store’s tasks with cross-functional partners to align on prioritization of initiatives and ensure balanced field workload
  • Manage communication deadlines and be able to determine distribution timing that keeps the business’ best interest in mind at all times
  • Ensure all projects and tasks are reviewed for clear and concise direction, correct grammar and spelling, and accurate dates and timelines prior to launching communication to stores
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the communication tools leading to more efficiency and streamlined direction to stores
  • Leverage field teams to ensure their voice is heard and responded to, to improve business practices, and to understand future communication enhancement opportunities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to write, edit, review and enhance internal communication materials including presentations, newsletters and handouts for various levels of audiences
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned

  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
