Reporting to Academy’s Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Recruiter – University Relations will be accountable for cultivating and managing relationships with all Tier 1 universities on behalf of AS+O , as well as planning and executing end-to-end recruitment process for both university and intern hiring, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience

Job Description:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or similar field of study preferred 

Skills:

  • Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment
  • Proficient interviewing, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced, frequently changing environment
  • Responsible for direct source candidates, leverage current sourcing tools, and the ability to team with outside sourcing vendors when needed
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office  programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Work Experiences:

  • 1+ years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience
  • Proficient use of applicant tracking tools (Workday preferred) and web-based recruiting resources required
  • Retail experience a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with all Tier 1 universities on behalf of AS+O
  • Responsible for attracting, interviewing and hiring for the Summer Intern Program
  • Plan and execute Summer Intern Program
  • Partner with internal business partners, talent acquisition team members and external business partners
  • Build and maintain AS+O brand recognition on university campuses with both students and faculty, positioning AS+O as an employer of choice
  • Constant partnership with HRBP and functional leaders in order to anticipate and staff entry-level positions with university graduates
  • Provide superior customer service to all involved with the full life cycle talent acquisition process and workflow
  • Partner with organizational development team to ensure recruiting strategies align with succession plans
  • Consult with hiring managers to develop a thorough understanding of the position to create a recruiting strategy to support, attract and select top talent
  • Develop a constant pool of candidates for key positions at all levels
  • Utilize various recruiting sources to identify candidates, including internet, networking and referrals
  • Assist internal Team Members in the pursuit of new opportunities within the company
  • Provide status reports, hiring trends and analysis to management
  • Assist with various projects as required
  • Participate in recruitment events such as job fairs and presentations
  • Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Duties may change; Team Members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

  • Travel required: 30% annually (90% in the Fall recruiting semester)
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
