Description

The Delivery Technician at Eddystone Pharmacy is responsible for the delivery of medical products to patients of the pharmacy.

• Greet and acknowledge patients according to agency standards

• Receive, record and relay messages accurately, completely and legibly

• Speak with others using clear, professional and polite language

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the ACG team to reach common goal

• Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer

• Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients

• Deliver medical products to patient's home 

• Record any patient concerns and complaints, and forward to supervisor for action

• Complete delivery documentation and ensure that all information is accurate and complete

• Perform cleaning and simple maintenance of delivery vehicle

• Help monitor inventory levels to ensure timely deliveries; maintain lot number tracking; comply with recalls 

• Report product incidents in compliance with pharmacy policy

• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies

• Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator

• Participate in pharmacy committees when requested

• Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past three years

• Basic Computer skills, ability to use scanner, photocopiers, printer, mouse 

• Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills  

• Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records

• Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions

• A working knowledge of the community and the ability to link clients to services in the community when necessary

• Must be able to comfortably work with people of all lifestyles

Work Conditions:

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear

• Occasional stooping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching

• The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

• May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases

• Handle emergency or crisis situations
