Job Description

The HR Representative role is responsible for providing HR support to employees and leaders in the Americas region, which includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia.

This role acts as the first point of contact for American Express Global Business Travel employees that have HR or Payroll related questions or issues. The department provides support to employees and leaders by responding to cases, chat sessions, and phone calls. This role reports to the Lead HR Representative.

Responsibilities

• Answers questions and guides leaders by providing prompt, polite responses to their questions and concerns
• Follows departmental documentation, daily checklists, and meets established SLAs
• Possesses an understanding of the services being provided by the department to Amex GBT employees
• Provides support for employee and leader transactions in Workday as a proficient user
• Maintains a detailed knowledge of HR processes and procedures throughout the countries supported in the region
• Escalates urgent issues to department leadership, as needed
• Assists with gathering information for internal/external audits
• Ensures all employee information is kept strictly confidential

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or Payroll
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and customer servicing skills
• Requires flexibility to work with global teams across various time-zones
• Multi-lingual with one or more languages in applicable GBT markets: English, Spanish, French Canadian (highly preferred)
• Experience with Workday or another HRIS (preferred)
• Knowledge of ServiceNow (helpful)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Officeapplications
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and rapidly-changing matrix environment
• Experience supporting a remote employee population or experience working in a Shared Service environment.
