JOB SUMMARY:

Capio, a well-established and expanding healthcare receivables management company based out of Sherman, TX, seeks a Project Manager. Capio is paving the way in the healthcare receivables industry and our business is growing at an exponential rate. Our need to efficiently manage technology projects requires the addition of a Project Manager.

In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of technology projects. General responsibilities include the organization and management of multiple concurrent projects. This includes directing the project-related efforts of project participants, setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring that projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting as necessary to meet new requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the project scope, goals, and charter, involving stakeholders and enduring technical feasibility
  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track the project progress
  • Delegate and coordinate tasks on the project to internal resources and third parties/vendors best positioned to complete them
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Report and escalate to management as needed, communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Manage change in the project and adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Other technical duties, as assigned. These may include performing business analyst functions, researching new software, creating proposals for management, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, software engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework. Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum)
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Cost and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to make important decisions under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Time management skills
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development
  • Experience within the receivables management or healthcare industries a strong plus.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English is required.
