CHEF'S GARDEN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK Salary in the United States

The Chef's Garden is nestled in the farmlands of Huron, Ohio. We are located just minutes away from the Ohio Turnpike and US 250. We are a sustainable farm that grows specialty vegetables and herbs for the fine dining culinary industry worldwide.  The Chef’s Garden is operational all year long.

Our Accounting Department has a full-time opening for an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK.

Principle responsibilities:

• Full cycle AP role: receive purchase orders, invoices, credit memos, payments, AP aging
• Set up new vendor accounts, maintain existing vendor accounts with up to date information
• Research and resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies with staff and vendors
• Post expenses to appropriate General Ledger account and Profit Center (Cost Center)
• Assist in controlling expenses by receiving, processing, and reconciling vendor invoices and accounts with accuracy and efficiency

The successful applicant must possess the following skills:

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Online skill set: vendor portal, banking, and vendor website research
• Familiarity with accounting software packages and ERP systems
• Thorough understanding of GAAP
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting is preferred
• 1+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable
