Description
Erie Family Health Centers is looking for an energetic, focused and responsible individual like you to join our Erie Foster Avenue Team! Erie's Patient Benefit Advocate will be responsible for obtaining, confirming and accurately updating patient demographic, insurance information, PCP assignment, preferred pharmacy information in the electronic medical records system.
Responsibilities
- Registering patients, inputting charges, scheduling and verifying appointments
- Collecting payments at the time of service, applying fee scales appropriately, safeguarding cash and verifying insurance
- Any other front office functions as deemed necessary
- Functions collaboratively with other Patient Support Services, Patient Benefits Advocates and other clinical services to ensure efficient, friendly, cost-effective service
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Prior physician's office experience is beneficial
- Experienced in utilizing a computer and Microsoft Products
- Ability to work in a challenging team environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual Spanish, preferred
